Historic Restoration Project
Built in the 1960's, one of the few remaining original "Muffler Men" has watched over San Antonio for decades.
Built by International Fiberglass Company there used to be many to be found across the country. This sculpture was known as Chief Pontiac by some here in San Antonio.
The restoration project involved some heavy equipment to take the statue apart and bring it to our workshop for restoration, the patching of many holes, many detailed repairs, color matching paints, and much more.
The Indian Chief statue is made of fiberglass with steel supports holding it all together, and had many many perforations. The restoration project was completed within budget and on schedule.
